We are looking for a Marine Personnel officer for the Crew Department.
Job Role
- Verification of crew qualifications/documentation prior to joining
- Liaise with agents/owners/managers for crew sign on and sign off
- Keep contact with officers on vacation as relevant, monitoring of crew P&I and or medical claim documentation
- Update the Crewing files and office computer records as relevant
- Handling visas, handling of flag required Certificates
- Responsible for maintaining updated vessel rotation plans and execution of agreed crewing strategies
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the database for all seafarers from crew manning pool under the responsibility
- Handle all documentation, administration, and deployment of crew
- Sound knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006 and relevant international manning, and flag state requirements
- Follow up of mandatory certificates renewal, medical follow up, pre-assignment / Post-assignment briefings
- Performance appraisal follow up, monthly reporting on crewing matters Other crew matters as directed by the Crewing Manager
The ideal candidate should be
- Below 26 years
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Crew Manning services
- Fluent in English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Computer literate proficient in MS Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Adobe Reader Living in close proximity to Wattala
